220mm Skirting Boards

220mm is the size the trade has long sold as a 9 inch skirting board. The true height is 220mm, about 8¾ inches, a little under a true 9 inches (229mm). It is at the lower end of the 220mm to 270mm range often found in Victorian homes, which makes it a common choice for period restoration and for rooms with higher ceilings.
