FAQ

What is Torus skirting? +

Torus is defined by the rounded curve that sits at the top of the profile. It adds depth and a traditional character while keeping the rest of the board clean and simple, which is why it suits both period and modern homes.

What is the difference between Torus Type 1, Type 2 and Mini Torus? +

Torus Type 2 has the most pronounced curve and is our best seller. Torus Type 1 has a smaller, subtler curve for a lighter look. Mini Torus is Type 1 scaled down, for a more delicate profile in minimalist rooms.

Is Torus skirting available in MDF and pine? +

Yes. Every Torus profile comes in moisture-resistant MDF, primed ready for painting, or in natural softwood pine. MDF machines cleanly and resists humidity in bathrooms and kitchens, while pine offers a natural timber alternative.

What sizes does Torus skirting come in? +

Heights of 70mm, 95mm, 120mm, 145mm, 170mm and 195mm up to 400mm, in 15mm, 18mm and 25mm thicknesses, and 3050mm or 4200mm lengths. Every board is machined to your specification after you order. Work out how much you need with our skirting board calculator.

Is there matching Torus architrave? +

Yes. Every Torus skirting profile has a matching Torus architrave, so the same detail carries from your skirting up around door and window frames.
