MDF Skirting Boards
We always recommend choosing our MDF (medium-density fibreboard) material when buying MDF skirting boards. Our fibreboard skirting is superior to the softwood equivalent, and also moisture resistant.

How Our MDF Skirting Is Made
We've searched far and wide for the best MDF we can get our hands on and we feel like we've found it. The MDF we use is the densest you can get - High Density MDF (we call it HDF in short).
This means that the board is manufactured using as many wood fibres as physically possible to ensure a solid product. Another benefit is that the board we use contain 100% softwood fibres - this ensures that the board is high quality all the way through.
A lot of other companies use MDF that also contains hardwood fibres. This leads to inconsistencies throughout the board and can also cause furriness when the board is machined.
Another plus point about our MDF is that it's all moisture resistant - no matter which size you choose.

Do You Offer White MDF Skirting Boards?
We offer 3 finishes on our MDF skirtings - unprimed, primed and undercoated. The primer and undercoat we use are both white in colour.
If you're looking for a white MDF skirting board, choosing undercoated gives you an excellent base for your final chosen paint. You could even paint them grey!
