Cut costs, reduce dust and debris, and save hours of work spent removing and replacing old skirting boards. Our skirting board covers help you to achieve a fresh look, with the least work! The large hollow / rebate on the rear of the board comfortably accommodates your old skirting boards.
Skirting over skirting is designed to be fitted directly on top of your existing skirting board, for a streamlined room renovation.
Nothing is compromised or taken away, our skirting covers look just like standard skirting boards, but feature a rebate (empty space) on the rear to accommodate your existing skirting boards.
Don't fancy ripping out your existing skirting and having a full scale renovation project on your hands? Our MDF Skirting Board Covers are the solution (and you won't need rails or clips like you do with 'clip over skirting boards').
Because they feature a large rebate (cut out at the rear of the board), they are simply fitted over the top of the existing skirting.
When choosing your skirting board cover, make sure you accurately measure your existing skirting boards. You can then choose the correct height on the product page and ensure that the cover will fit over your old skirtings without issue.
The large rebate on the rear of skirting board covers is also ideal for concealing large pipework for central heating, complex cables and other large obstructions which a typical rebate would fail to host in the hollow channel.
You don't need to pull your old skirting off the walls - just stick these straight over the top!
Skirting board covers also remove the need to replaster your walls after removing old skirting, since the existing skirting boards stay in place, the wall plaster behind it would not be damaged.
Using skirting board covers (also known as 'Skirting-over-skirting') is the quickest way to fit new skirting. Just apply adhesive and stick them over the top of the old stuff!
Although our MDF Skirting Board Covers are a little more expensive than our normal skirting boards, you save money in different areas. Because you stick them directly over your old skirting, you don't need to pay to re-plaster your walls like you do when you completely replace the skirting.
You also save money by not having to hire anyone to fit the skirting - skirting covers can be fitted quickly and easily by anyone with a little DIY knowledge!
