FAQ2: What materials will CT1 bond to?
FAQ2-ANS: All metals (including lead), glass, mirrors, all wood, MDF, polystyrene, fibreglass, tiles, concrete, most stones (without staining), most synthetic materials, plastics (except PP, PE and PTFE).
FAQ3: Who uses CT1?
FAQ3-ANS: Anyone and everyone uses CT1 including builders, joiners, plumbers, tilers, shopfitters, electricians, signmakers, stonemasons and DIY enthusiasts.
FAQ4: Can CT1 be used anywhere in the home?
FAQ4-ANS: Correct! It is suitable to use anywhere in the home including the kitchen! This is because it conforms to EU Food Preparation Regulations.
FAQ5: How long does CT1 take to dry?
FAQ5-ANS: The setting time of CT1 depends on the thickness of the bead applied, according to specification, CT1 cures 2-3mm of depth in 24 hours. No shrinkage occures during curing and it will maintain its original volume.
FAQ6: How long does CT1 take to set?
FAQ6-ANS: The setting (drying) time of CT1 depends on how thick the bead is, by specification, 2-3mm of CT1 dries every 24 hours.
FAQ7: Is CT1 waterproof?
FAQ7-ANS: Due to its combination of properties, CT1 is totally waterproof. CT1 can quicker when wet than dry, and is suitable for use in high-moisture conditions due to its excellent water resistant properties..
FAQ8: How strong is CT1?
FAQ8-ANS: The TRIBRID® technology makes CT1 considerably strong. With a 22Kg / cm² tensile strength, it has a high bond strength to withstand pulling forces.
FAQ9: Is CT1 heat resistant?
FAQ9-ANS: The thermal stability of CT1 is -40ºC to +90ºC, meaning that it performs well in a wide range of temperatures and stands up well to fluctuating temperatures without cracking or shrinking..
FAQ10: Can you paint over CT1?
FAQ10-ANS: Once CT1 has cured, it is suitable for painting. Water-based paints work best with CT1, however Alkyd based paints are not suitable.
