MDF Door Frame Set in 18mm HDF

Our MDF Door Frame Set is made using our superior HDF material ensuring a smooth finish. They are hard wearing and long lasting so you can buy with confidence.

All of our MDF Door Frame Sets come with 25mm x 12mm door stops (slamming strips). Ordering the door frames primed ensures that they will be ready for your final top coat, reducing the installation cost and time.

If you're ordering for a single doorway, you will need to order a single set. If you're ordering for a double doorway (french doors / patio doors), you will need to order a double set.

Set: available as a single or double door set.
Single: 2 legs at 2440mm and 1 head at 1220mm (including 25mm x 12mm door stops)
Double: 2 legs at 2440mm and 1 head at 2440mm (including 25mm x 12mm door stops)
Width: sold in 95mm - 170mm widths.
Thickness: available in 18mm and 25mm thick
Finish: Primer coat sprayed by our in house professional sprayer for an excellent smooth undercoat (requires final paint finish).

This measurement reflects how deep the window board should be. Most window boards have a small overhang so take this into account when selecting a size.

Select the primed finish to receive your order with 2 coats of primer so it's ready for a final top coat. If you want to receive the order as raw material, select the unprimed finish.

Height

This measurement reflects how tall the skirting should be (from the floor upwards). Please note that the design size doesn't change (the plain part below the design will get taller or shorter depending on the height you choose).

Length

This measurement reflects how long the piece should be. If you are looking are architrave, you will see a single set and a double set option. The single set will cover one side of a single door and the double set will cover one side of a double door.

Rebate

If you're looking to hide cables behind your skirting boards, choose this option. We will remove a 20mm x 12mm section from the bottom of the rear of the skirting to enable you to run cables behind them.

If your doorway will hold one standard size door, choose the single set option. If your doorway will hold a set of double doors, choose the double set option.

Thickness

This measurement reflects how thick you want the material to be. The standard for most customers is 18mm and generally the skirting boards and architrave would be the same thickness (sometimes, the architrave is thicker to create a feature).

Width

For architrave, this measurement reflects how wide it will be (from the edge of the door outwards). For door frames, it is how wide the inside of the doorway is (where the frame will sit). For plinth blocks and rosettes, this measurement should ideally be larger than that of the architrave.
