    We use the highest quality MDF (Medium-density fibreboard) with moisture-resistant properties for our made-to-order MDF Boards and sheets. Our range includes primed MDF boards and custom sizing.

    Unlike Pine, Oak and other natural woods, our MDF boards are free of defects like, knots, dry or wet rot and sap stains. Making them the perfect choice for internal projects and joinery, with uses in furniture, panelling, pipe boxing, shelving, store fittings, modelling and exhibition displays.

    The smooth high-density refined surface of our MDF board is ideal for painting and art. Pre-primed on single or both sides, making a perfect canvas that is ready for your paintbrush and palette on delivery.

     

    Sizing & Finishes

    You can choose from a range of primed and unprimed finishes, and custom thicknesses, widths, and lengths. We supply MDF sheet in thicknesses of 9mm, 12mm, 15mm, 18mm, 25mm and 30mm. We supply MDF Panel Board at widths of 1220mm, 2440mm, 3050mm and 4200mm.

    You can buy MDF board at most hardware stores and online retailers. Look for a supplier that offers custom sizing and a range of thicknesses and finishes to meet your specific needs.

    The cost of MDF board varies depending on the thickness, finish, and size. On average, you can expect to pay between £20 and £50 for a standard-sized sheet of MDF board. Custom sizes may cost more.

    To prime MDF board for painting, first, sand the surface to smooth out any rough spots. Then, apply a coat of primer to seal the surface and prevent the paint from soaking into the wood fibres. Once the primer is dry, you can apply paint to the MDF board.

    The thinnest MDF board typically available is 1/8 inch thick (3.175mm). Our range offers MDF sheets as thin as 9mm.

    You can use most types of paint on MDF board, including latex and oil-based paints. However, it is recommended that you use a primer first to prevent the paint from soaking into the wood fibres. You can also use spray paint or enamel paint for a smooth, even finish. We recommend a satin paint finish on MDF boards.
